Biaxial carbon cloth consists of two non-woven layers at 90 degree fiber angles. Polyester yarn and mat backing are used to knit the cloth. Using biaxal carbon cloth means less resin is necessary, the ability to lay fiber in the direction you want, and conforms easily. This is carbon cloth with 90 degree fiber orientation. Light stitching used to hold together. Features flat, crimped fibers, and also lends higher stiffness compared to woven. Great for reinforcing and repair jobs.
